Welcome to my space at Alby Crafts and Gardens
I will be focussing on commission work relating to the skills outlined below, as well as offering classes for all levels of ability within - pattern cutting, garment making/tailoring and appliqué embroidery - the core skills I have developed over some 40+ years of professional practise and in parallel, 30 years of part-time teaching (BTECs and BA Hons in Fashion).
Soft Tailoring
Referencing classical & commercial tailoring techniques for day/evening wear.
Appliqué Embroidery
Both flat and three dimensional applied fabrics and quilting techniques.
Folded Fabric
I am also developing a range of folded fabric – 'Origami' designs – developed while travelling/working in India.
