Alby Crafts - Gallery 10

Gallery 10

Emily Longhurst has been running Gallery 10 since January 2024, having taken over from Erica Appleton, its founder. Emily continues to run this vibrant and busy gallery shop under the same ethos as established by Erica, showcasing the work of over 50 predominantly Norfolk based artists and makers. The collection of work ranges widely from silver jewellery, enamel ware, paintings, printmakers, woodworkers, and creative textiles.

In Emily’s own work she creates unique hand painted sailing boats using driftwood and reclaimed wood for the hull, with the sail becoming her canvas. She is constantly inventing new styles to add to her collection but has become well known for her striking illustrative night sky and moon seascapes. You will usually find Emily in the Gallery on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

We are very lucky to have Justine Williamson and Sue Johnston exhibiting and producing their own work at the gallery on a weekly basis.

Justine is an artist with an inherent love of textiles, with a passion for colour and texture, with her resourceful use of materials. The environment in which she lives inspires her stunning and unique creations which often feature the Norfolk coastline and landscapes. You will usually find Justine in the gallery on Fridays and Saturdays.

Sue has a passion for flowers, in particular dandelion clocks, cow parsley and seed heads dominate her colourful watercolours and hand stitched textile embroideries. She also creates wonderful, animated creatures combining her love of embroidery with needle felting techniques. You will usually find Sue in the gallery on Tuesdays.
